Woven Tapestry Rug by Eleen Auvil titled Amaryllis
Incredible wall tapestry rug titled Amaryllis by Eleen Auvil and dated 1981. This was a special commission for the WM. Leckies. This tapestry has been on the wall and never on the floor. One of the ends has a metal rod used for hanging.
About the artist:
Eleen Auvil attended Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, MI. where she earned her degrees in textiles and sculpture. Eleen had a successful career designing and hand weaving throughout the country. She gradually shifted gears back to sculptures.
