- Six paintings by some of Californias greatest artists during the 1960s. David Cole was an entrepreneur who over many years owned and operated Cole Gallery in the bay area, Inverness Inn Restaurant in Tamales Bay and Fifes Resort in Russian River. During one of his gallery events on 6-18-60 some artists which Mr. Cole represented participated in a party. As the evening progressed a 50 foot, 3 foot wide paper roll was unfolded and artists were asked to draw whatever they wanted. The roll was covered with some amazing art by some of Californias pioneers. They are: Fritz Rauh, Jean Varda, Ruth Asawa, Dick Bowman, Gordon Onslow Ford, Nankoku Hidai, John Baxter, David Simpson. The last picture (7th framed item) details the party and artists involved.
